Toys, just Bigger with Time

Playing with cars is something many of us have done at least once in our lives. My friend was playing with his nephew using this Porsche toy, which he also owns in real size. Watching them play immediately inspired me to create this painting. I imagined them as the young and the older self—the same person, as if two dimensions had collided. The watch represents time passing by… two generations playing, sharing ideas and moments, existing in the same instant. Time can easily slip through our fingers, which is why this diptych is a reminder to enjoy the present... Two circles, like bubbles floating in time.
